Sometimes when you’re going through your pictures after a shoot you’ll find some that are a little flat but otherwise good. I’ve found myself constantly doing the same routine with these kinds of images: Add a bit of contrast, add some sharpness and so on. So to make it easy I created a preset and then assigned that a keyboard shortcut, so that when I found an image that was a little flat I could quickly see what it looked like with a little oomph. And so, here’s said preset for you to use yourself should you so choose! It’s basically a little contrast, a little definition and some sharpening. If you think the sharpening is too much you can go in and disable it for the preset.

The result is subtle but when you see it up full (and not just on the web) it’s a bit more effective. Anyway, it’s a handy starting point. Enjoy.
